1/2" automatic stainless steel humidifier drinker with fan spray – Model FDA-000010IC

Product description

The FDA-000010IC humidifier nipple drinker with 1/2” threaded connection and fan spray for “wet/dry” pig feeders is designed for combined feeding systems in the livestock sector.

The stainless steel body and thread ensure high corrosion resistance, long-term reliability, and a proper hydraulic seal.
The 22 mm hexagon allows for stable and secure screwing onto the feeder.

The movement of the pressure-activated pin causes a light and controlled water delivery, which wets the feed, improving its palatability and encouraging food intake.

Installation heights and angle

The heights indicated are general guidelines.
We recommend using three installation heights or height adjusters, to adapt the position of the drinker or feeder to the animal's growth stage.

The FDA-000010IC drinker can be installed at an angle between 15° and 45°:

  • 15° → use the lower height
  • 45° → use the higher height

This adjustment ensures correct animal posture and reduces water waste.

Recommended water pressure

The maximum water pressure must not exceed 4 bar (55 psi) to ensure correct system operation.

For piglets and weaned piglets, the pressure should not exceed 2 bar (28 psi).

Lower pressures promote:

  • water savings
  • longer life for seals and spring
  • flow regularity
  • ease of use
  • waste reduction

👉 The use of a pressure reducer is recommended if the water line has high or unstable values.

Water flow rate

Actual flow rate varies based on available pressure along the barn.
For optimal system performance, a water flow rate between 0.6 and 1 liter/minute is recommended, to achieve proper feed moistening while reducing water waste and keeping the feeding area cleaner.

Optional valves with the following diameters are available to increase flow rate:

  • Ø 3 mm
  • Ø 3.5 mm
  • Ø 4 mm

The use of pressure reducers allows for centralized system management, particularly useful in summer months when it may be necessary to increase the flow rate.
