1/2" Stainless Steel Automatic Nipple Drinker for Piglets – Model FDA-000016E

Product description

The FDA-000016E stainless steel automatic drinker for piglets is designed to ensure reliability, durability, and consistent water delivery from the earliest growth stages.

Thanks to its activation sensitivity and resistant materials, it represents an ideal solution to promote piglet drinking, improving animal welfare and reducing waste.

Installation heights and angle

The indicated heights are general guidelines.

For piglets, it is essential to position the drinker correctly to facilitate use from the earliest stages of growth.

The FDA-000016E drinker can be installed at an angle between 15° and 45°:

  • 15° → lower and more accessible position

  • 45° → higher position

Proper adjustment facilitates learning to use it and reduces water waste.

Recommended water pressure

For piglets, a pressure not exceeding 2 bar (28 psi) is recommended to ensure ease of activation and comfort during drinking.

The maximum system pressure must not exceed 4 bar (55 psi).

Lower pressures promote:

  • ease of use for piglets

  • water savings

  • longer life for seals and spring

  • flow regularity

  • waste reduction

👉 The use of a pressure reducer is recommended to maintain constant and optimal values.

Water flow rate

Flow rate varies based on the available pressure along the line.

For piglets, an indicative flow rate between 0.5 and 1.0 L/min is recommended to ensure adequate water access without excess.

To adjust the flow rate, optional valves are available with diameters:

  • Ø 3 mm

  • Ø 3.5 mm

  • Ø 4 mm

The use of pressure reducers allows optimal system management, especially during the most delicate growth phases.

Water contamination

Contamination of water or pipes is one of the main causes of drinker malfunction.

The presence of impurities, sediment, or residue can compromise the proper functioning of the internal mechanism, causing leaks, reduced flow rate, or premature wear of components.

👉 Installing a filter on the water system is recommended to prevent these issues and ensure greater durability and reliability of the system.
