1/2" automatic nipple drinker for weaner pigs with oversized pin – Model FDA-002P11

Product description

The FDA-002P11 automatic drinker for weaner pigs is designed to ensure reliability, durability, and constant water delivery throughout the growth phase.
Made with robust materials and designed for quick installation, it represents an ideal solution for pig farms requiring efficiency, hygiene, and resistance in weaner facilities.

It is the larger version of the FDA-000002 but with an oversized pin (11 mm diameter).

Installation heights and angle

The indicated heights are general guidelines.
For rearing weaner pigs, we recommend using two installation heights or height adjusters to adapt the drinker position to the animals' growth.

The FDA-000002 drinker can be installed with an inclination between 15° and 45°:

  • 15° → use the lowest height
  • 45° → use the highest height

This adjustment ensures correct posture for the animals and reduces water waste.

Recommended water pressure

Maximum water pressure must not exceed 4 bar (55 psi) to ensure correct system operation.

For piglets and weaned piglets, pressure should not exceed 2 bar (28 psi).

Lower pressures promote:

  • water savings
  • longer life for seals and springs
  • flow regularity
  • ease of use
  • waste reduction

👉 We recommend using a pressure reducer if the water line shows high or unstable values.

Water flow rate

The actual flow rate varies based on the pressure available along the barn.
For weaner pigs, a flow rate between 0.8 and 1.4 L/min is recommended to ensure adequate water supply throughout the growth phase.

Optional valves with the following diameters are available to increase flow rate:

  • Ø 3 mm
  • Ø 3.5 mm
  • Ø 4 mm

The use of pressure reducers allows for centralized system management, particularly useful in summer months when it may be necessary to increase the flow rate.
