Adjustable 3/4" automatic stainless steel nipple drinker for sows and finishing pigs – Model FDA-000014ETP

Product description

The FDA-000014ETP adjustable automatic stainless steel nipple drinker is designed to ensure reliability, durability, and constant water delivery in lines dedicated to sows and finishing pigs.
Made with robust materials and designed for quick installation, it represents an ideal solution for pig farms requiring efficiency, hygiene, and resistance even in the most intensive conditions.

The oversized 12 mm diameter pin increases its resistance to mechanical stress.

Installation heights and angle

The indicated heights are general guidelines.
For rearing store pigs, we recommend using two installation heights or height adjusters to adapt the drinker position to the animals' growth.

The FDA-000014ETP drinker can be installed with an inclination between 15° and 45°:

  • 15° → use the lower height
  • 45° → use the higher height

This adjustment ensures correct animal posture and reduces water waste.

Recommended water pressure

The maximum water pressure must not exceed 4 bar (55 psi) to ensure correct system operation.

For piglets and weaned piglets, the pressure should not exceed 2 bar (28 psi).

Lower pressures promote:

  • water savings
  • longer life for seals and spring
  • flow regularity
  • ease of use
  • waste reduction

👉 The use of a pressure reducer is recommended if the water line has high or unstable values.

Water flow rate

The flow rate varies based on the pressure in the water line.
For sows and finishing pigs, a flow rate is recommended approximately between:

  • 1.0 and 2.0 L/min is recommended, depending on the farm's needs.

This image shows the constant flow rate graph of an FDA adjustable valve, which delivers 1.4 liters per minute regardless of pressure.
The graph highlights the three valve adjustment levels:

  • Level 1 (2–9 bar): green zone, used when system pressure is high.

  • Level 2 (1–2 bar): blue zone, suitable for medium-pressure systems.

  • Level 3 (0–1 bar): grey zone, ideal for low-pressure drinking lines.

The graph helps to quickly understand which level to set on the valve cap to obtain a stable and correct flow rate based on the available system pressure. The flow rate remains stable at 1.4 L/min, ensuring a constant and reliable flow.

The use of pressure reducers allows for centralized system management, particularly useful in summer months when it may be necessary to increase the flow rate.
