Installation heights and angle

The indicated heights are general guidelines.

For piglets, it is essential to position the drinker correctly to facilitate use from the earliest stages of growth.

The FDA-000022 drinker can be installed at an angle between 15° and 45°:

  • 15° → lower and more accessible position

  • 45° → higher position

Correct adjustment encourages learning and reduces water waste.

Recommended water pressure

For piglets, a pressure not exceeding 2 bar (28 psi) is recommended to ensure easy activation and comfort during drinking.

The maximum system pressure must not exceed 4 bar (55 psi).

Lower pressures promote:

  • ease of use for piglets

  • water savings

  • longer life for seals and spring

  • flow regularity

  • waste reduction

👉 The use of a pressure reducer is recommended to maintain constant and optimal values.

Water flow rate

Flow rate varies based on the pressure available along the line.

For piglets, an indicative flow rate between 0.5 and 1.0 L/min is recommended to ensure adequate water access without excess.

Optional valves with the following diameters are available to adjust the flow rate:

  • Ø 3 mm

  • Ø 3.5 mm

  • Ø 4 mm

Using pressure reducers allows for optimal system management, especially during the most delicate growth stages.

Water contamination

Contamination of water or pipes is one of the main causes of drinker malfunction.

Impurities, sediment, or residues can compromise the internal mechanism's function, causing leaks, reduced flow, or premature component wear.

👉 Installing a filter on the water system is recommended to prevent these issues and ensure greater system durability and reliability.
