3/4" Automatic Nipple Drinker for Sows and Finishing Pigs – Model FDA-000014E

Product description

The FDA-000014E automatic drinker is designed to ensure reliability, durability, and consistent water delivery in lines dedicated to sows and finishing pigs.
Robust materials and easy installation make it an ideal solution for farms requiring hygiene, efficiency and durability even in the most intensive conditions.

The oversized 12 mm diameter pin increases its resistance to mechanical stress.

Technical specifications

  • 3/4" water connection
  • Total length: 76.0 mm
  • Drinker pipe Ø 25 mm
  • Pin Ø 12 mm
  • Weight: 184.4 g

Installation heights and angle

The indicated heights are general guidelines.
For rearing store pigs, we recommend using two installation heights or height adjusters to adapt the drinker position to the animals' growth.

The FDA-000014E drinker can be installed at an angle between 15° and 45°:

  • 15° → use the lower height
  • 45° → use the higher height

This adjustment ensures correct animal posture and reduces water waste.

Recommended water pressure

The maximum water pressure must not exceed 4 bar (55 psi) to ensure correct system operation.

For piglets and weaned piglets, the pressure should not exceed 2 bar (28 psi).

Lower pressures promote:

  • water savings
  • longer life for seals and spring
  • flow regularity
  • ease of use
  • waste reduction

👉 The use of a pressure reducer is recommended if the water line has high or unstable values.

Water flow rate

The flow rate varies based on the pressure in the water line.
For sows and fattening pigs, a flow rate between approximately the following is recommended:

  • 1.0 and 2.0 L/min is recommended, depending on the farm's needs.

The standard valve has a 2 mm orifice.

Optional valves with the following diameters are available to increase flow rate:

  • Ø 3 mm
  • Ø 3.5 mm
  • Ø 4 mm

The use of pressure reducers allows for centralized system management, particularly useful in summer months when it may be necessary to increase the flow rate.
